A delegation of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) met with the Inspector General, National Highways & Motorway Police, Muhammad Saleem Bhatti, today. The delegation said that the plague of corruption is spreading like cancer in our society. While appreciating the role of NH&MP as a corruption free department, the delegation apprised thatNAB is committed to eliminate corruption and corrupt practices by enhancing integrity and promoting transparency. NAB invited Motorway Police to join hands in its anti-corruption drive in the country. The Inspector General, NH&MP, assured the delegation of the support and cooperation of Motorway Police to eliminate corruption from the country. Both the departments agreed that a campaign against corrupt practices would be launched. It was decided to display banners having anti-corruption slogans at various points on Motorways for public awareness. Similarly pamphlets, hand bills and leaflets, bearing anti-corruption messages would be distributed at all toll plazas. It was further agreed that seminars would be held in different cities of the country to create awareness among the masses.
