There has always been a deficit of trust between police and public. The responsibility of police is to protect the life and property of people. The newly inducted police officers should revive the trust of people into police system. I have strong believe that police department the most important because the safety of life and property of people is in the hands of police. You are lucky that you have chosen the profession of police. You should do your duties efficiently and protect the life and property of people. This was stated by the IG, NH&MP Shaukat Hayat while address the study tour of 43rd batch of under training ASsP. He said that Motorway Police has always been an exception for its honesty, courtesy, and professionalism. It is the honesty, courtesy, proactive approach and spirit to help the people in distress which make an organization prominent. He advised the under training ASsP to be thankful to the Almighty Allah Who has chosen them for this sacred profession. He said that the young ASsP are our hope and they should revive the trust of police with their good performance and attitude. He urged that ASsP should start their career with good ambitions to serve the public. The Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police said that NH&MP has attained the status of the premier and lead traffic regulation and enforcement agency in Pakistan. By sticking to its core values of honesty, courtesy and help, NH&MP has won hearts of the public. He said that NH&MP has reduced the gap between police and public. Now People look towards us as matter of pride which is a great satisfaction for us. He added that State of the Art Drivers Licensing Authority established in Islamabad and online branches working in Kamra, Lahore, Multan and PTC, Sheikhupura, he added that NH&MP Driving Licensing system would get ISO- 17024 soon which would also attain the international status. DIG HQs Ghulam Rasual Zahid, AIG (HRM) Nasir Mehmood Satti, AIG (Logistics) Abbas Ahsan were also present on the occasion. While giving the detailed briefing AIG (Logistics & Headquarter) Abbas Ahsan said that Help to commuters in distress is a hallmark of Motorway Police and 435073 helps render in the year 2016 and regular briefings conducted 4608414 people at toll plazas, bus stands in year 2016. He further added, that NH&MP Training College training to other traffic force of Islamabad, KP, Baluchistan, Punjab Wardens, Lahore Ring Road, Trainees of Punjab Skill Development Fund, Trainees of NAVTTC and drivers of national, multi-national and private companies.
