A ceremony was held at NH&MP Lines Headquarters Islamabad for the distribution of certificate among the participants of completing training from NH&MP road safety Driving Institutes. Additional Inspector General Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam distributed certificates among the successful participants of Driving Training Programme from Road Safety Training Institute (RSTI). The ceremony was attended by the DIG (Operations), Ghulam Rasul Zahid, AIG (Logistics) Khurram Shahzad Hayder, SP Driving Licensing Authority, Inam Elahi, CPO Headquarters, Amjad Hussain, senior officers of Motorway Police and participants from NAVTTC. While addressing the participants, the Additional Inspector General Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam said that National Highway & Motorway Police Road Safety Training Institute Islamabad is imparting driver training to both public and private sector. This is a contribution for masses to learn driving techniques and come on road with better driving sense. Additional IG, NH&MP Kaleem Imam said that NH&MP road safety training institutes are providing best defensive driving education in Pakistan with an academically researched curriculum. He further said that it is the duty of every citizen to abide by the traffic rules and follow the road safety precautionary measures to save not only their own lives but the lives of other road users as well. While congratulating the participants, he emphasized on fastening seat belts while driving. The participants shared that under the supervision of qualified instructors and with the help of driving simulator well-trained drivers would be on wheels. It would be an imperative mile stone towards making highways safer, they added. The female participants, on the occasion, said that Motorway Police RSTI is the safest Institute for Driving training of female candidates.
