Road discipline reflects the discipline of the society. Famous Pakistani actress, Laila Zuberi expressed these views during her address in NH&MP Road Safety Programe “An Hour with the Guest ” at Drivers Licencing Authority, Islamabad. The Inspector General, National Highways and Motorways Police, Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam, AIG, Najeeb ur Rehman, SP (HQ), Syeda Zahida Bukhary, DSP, Drivers Licencing Authority, Inam Ellahi, DSP (HQ), Adeel Shahzad and the officers of Motorway Police participated in the accession. Laila Zuberi said that National Highways and Motorway Police have always maintained the standards of road safety in Pakistan which is always acknowledged worldwide. She lauded the performance of motorway police for changing the behavior of youngsters. Laila Zuberi also adored the performance of motorway police for implementing equal application of law. She recommended emulating the performance of NH&MP in other departments. She said motorway police has remained successful in transforming the culture of safety among masses. She said that teachers and parents must play their roles in providing awareness on road safety to youngsters. Laila Zuberi said National Highways & Motorway Police creates mass awareness regarding road safety issues. While lauding the services of media, She requested media to step forward for this national cause for spreading awareness on road safety so that the lives of the people, especially youngsters could be saved. She also requested teachers, parents and all public agencies as well as private sectors to play their roles in promoting and strengthening road safety culture in Pakistan.
