NHMP TRAINING COLLEGE HOLDS PASSING-OUT CEREMONY

NHMP Training College held 14th  passing-out ceremony in which 289 officers including 100 FIA constables were passed out. 
In the ceremony, Chief Guest Federal Minister for Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan announced significant  developments and expansion of  Motorways from Mansehra to Gilgit, Babu Sar Top, and Skardu during the ceremony at the NHMP Training College, Sheikhupura. 
The ceremony was attended by Federal Secretary of Communication Ali Sher Mehsud, NHMP IG Salman Chaudhary, Additional IG Ali Saber Kayani, Commandant DIG Syed Hashmat Kamal, Patrol Officers and their families. 
Minister Abdul Aleem Khan underlined the importance of CPEC in driving prosperity for Pakistan and reiterated commitments to enhance institutions, ensure quality selection processes, and provide comprehensive training to officers. Moreover, he commended Motorway Police for their integrity, courtesy and corruption-free services to Pakistan.  
 IG Motorway Police Salman Chaudhry commended the commendable efforts of the Motorway Police despite resource limitations. Furthermore, he lauded Commandant Training College Syed Hashmat Kamal for various training initiatives. Commandant Training College DIG Syed Hashmat Kamal expressed gratitude for the recognition and emphasized personality development alongside professional training. The Federal Minister also paid tribute to the martyrs during the event.

NHMP CONDUCTS AWARENESS CAMPAIGN FOR ROAD SAFETY

Inspector General NHMP Salman Chaudhry directed the senior officers to emphasize the importance of road safety through seminars, workshops, and walks.
Special directives were issued for senior officers to conduct sessions at major institutions, focusing road safety and career counseling. Moreover, weekly campaigns highlight the importance of seat belt use, speed limits, obeying signals, lane discipline, helmet use, and zebra crossings while driving. 
Furthermore, a special lecture was conducted at Pakistan Ordnance Factory  aiming to instill traffic rule adherence among employees and management. Senior Patrol Officer (SPO) Younis Nawaz and Nabila Yasmin delivered a comprehensive lecture conveying the importance of traffic rules adherence. 
At the end of the lecture, a question-answer session was held and gift hampers were given for correct answers.

NHMP TAKES STERN ACTION AGAINST OVERCHARGING AMIDST EID

Motorway Police, on the directions of IG NHMP Mr. Salman Chaudhry, launched a campaign against overcharging and returned fare of nearly 3.9 million passengers on highways and motorways.  
Inspector General NHMP Salman Chaudhry said that on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the safety and security of commuters is their top-most priority and that  NHMP is striving to make the journey of the commuters safer. Furthermore, he said that on the occasion, special measures had being taken against overcharging and overloading of the transporters. 
The department fined 6,935 Public Service Vehicles (PSVs) and imposed fine of more than Rs. 11 million against the aforementioned violations.

MEETING HELD AT CENTRAL POLICE OFFICE NHMP

A meeting  was held at Central Police Office National Highways and Motorway Police between Inspector General Salman Chaudhry and internationally recognized Hematologist Dr. Sharif Saadullah Khan. The meeting underlined the importance of collaboration and recognition in fostering a culture of safety and excellence in public service.
Dr. Sharif lauded efforts of Motorway Police in ensuring road safety on countrywide highways and motorways. He extended his acknowledgement by gifting 6000 multi-purpose gloves. “The dedication of Motorway Police is, undoubtedly, recognized nationally as well as internationally,” He said. 
The Inspector General Mr. Salman Chaudhry emphasized the notion of prioritizing safe and secure road network to the commuters. Moreover, he was of the opinion that NHMP has left no stone unturned in reducing accidents rates of highways and motorways.

NHMP ORGANIZES E-KHULI KACHEHRI ON FM-95

Inspector General (IG) NHMP addressed issues of public via E-Khuli Kachehri via FM-95 and social media apps. 
The IG NHMP Salman Chaudhry during E-Khuli Kachehri, on FM-95 Radio and Facebook livestreaming, answered the frequently asked questions from across the country and from abroad as well. The IG Salman Chaudhry issued immediate directions to resolve the problems of the general public and employees of National Highways and Motorway Police. 
He said that the E-Khuli Kachehri is the best way to address general public and with the employees and for resolving their issues.
He said that in order to ensure enforcement of laws and transparency in the ticketing system, an SMS service is being introduced. 
IG Salman Chaudhry, while addressing a question, acknowledged that road infrastructure issues are long-standing problems in some areas of Pakistan and that efforts are being made through collaboration with relevant authorities to resolve these issues.
Furthermore, the IG NHMP revealed that efforts are being made to further simplify the process of issuing driving license.

NHMP CAMPAIGNS AGAINST OVERLOADING
A meeting chaired by Inspector General (IG) of National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) Salman Chaudhry, was held at the Central Police Office in Islamabad.
The meeting revolved around complete implementation of axle-load control on motorways and highways. Nearly, 228 cases were registered against violators in this regard. Almost 81091 overloaded vehicles were asked to pay challans, while 16884 vehicles not allowed to join highways and motorways.
IG Salman Chaudhry directed Zonal and Sector Commanders to conduct surprise checking and monitoring in order to ensure implementation of axle-load control regime. 
The IG expressed that National Highways and Motorway Police was committed to enforce elimination of overloading from the National Highways of the country, for which all resources would be utilized. 
Moreover, a strict warning has been given to all the major goods supplier of Pakistan, markets, and cement manufacturing plants and goods transport companies, informing them about allowed axle-load. 
Overloaded vehicles contribute to road accidents and cause serious damage to road infrastructure. Therefore, overloaded vehicles must not be allowed to use motorways and highways.
